Executive Profile
Jim Nonneman, “Nonne” as he’s known by friends and colleagues, is definitely a one-of-a-kind. He has broken the mold several times in his 25+ year career in marketing and advertising. That unique ability to envision and stretch beyond conventional thinking has created success – not only for Jim in his own career – but more importantly, for the clients that he has served.
As a 1986 graduate from Columbia College, his education helped develop his skills as a copywriter, art director, graphic designer, photographer and producer. He studied marketing, advertising and photography… and even assisted TV and film students with their productions.
He began his career as a commercial photographer serving agencies around the Chicago area. As an early adopter of the Macintosh computer, he was one of the first photographers in the country shooting and publishing digital images. Combining his photography and desktop publishing experience with his background in marketing and advertising, Nonne’s studio quickly grew into a design firm that served clients with concept through print solutions.
Whether working for his own business, or leading a team within an agency, his ability to respond, serve client needs and surpass their expectations has been consistent throughout Jim’s career.
Nonneman has gained knowledge and experience across many industries. His work has supported industry leaders to start-ups. He’s worked with billion-dollar multi-national corporations as well as local non-profit organizations like: Mohawk Industries, Bridgestone, Wilsonart, McDonald’s, Tellabs, Elizabeth Arden, Adventist Midwest Heath, CNS Home Health and Hospice, Elgin Symphony Orchestra, Mario Tricoci Salon and Day Spas and more…
In 2005, Jim opened Nonneman Communications, Inc., a full-service “brandvertising agency”. It was founded on the principle that all clients are unique. Their customers are unique. Their business needs are unique. Their customers are unique. The agency offers marketing directors, brand managers and business owners a single resource to address all of their branding, marketing and advertising needs. Working with a single resource streamlines the process, makes it easier to manage and guarantees brand integrity and consistency of message across every program and every medium.
